Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing Little Mower! It's a TANK!! I purchased the 34 compact pro in 2010 brand new. It was well worth the money! I mow around 30 lawns a week, 6 months out of the year every week. And a few large 2 acre properties and this thing goes through it all without a problem! Never had any issues, just regular maintenance. I've cut 10-11 foot high brush with this mower and hit .25 inch piece of steel and this mower doesn't stop! Only one thing I dislike, I wish the seat had some suspension. But other than that this is the best mower I've purchased! Well worth the initial investment! November 26, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding mower and fun to use The gravely is an amazing mower. It is built like a tank and does everything very we'll. i really enjoy cutting the grass with it. It is worth what I paid for it and I highly recommend it.Thank you Gravely, August 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to use great manuvering This is the best machine I have ever owned since I have been cutting lawn since 1970. Wouldn't bu anything but a GRAVLEY!!!! August 27, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cuts well and FAST Because of the narrow wheelbase, handling the mower on damp grass or slope, gets a little hairy, but it is what it is. I mow a lot, and the the major thing that I was looking for was the ability to get thru a 36" gate opening and this Gravely does so very nicely. Since "less that 36" was the major issue, this mower is a time saver for me, and I have no regrets in making this purchase. August 27, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very good but not perfect. Before purchasing this mower, I had decided it was the one I just had to have. It met all of my criteria for quality, size and durability and price. I also considered a Walker, but as a homeowner, didn't want to commit to the Walker price or Kohler engine. I feel I got all of those with this purchase, but I am disappointed at how the tires rip up the lawn when making a sharp turn, especially on an incline or slope. I guess it really does need those big fat tires of bigger mowers to spread out the torque of the engine. That's my only complaint so far. August 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Happy Mowing We purchased this machine when we moved into the country and became Land Barons. This machine has been trouble free for three years now, mowing and clearing heavy bushes.I love that it fits through my backgate and also makes going around tights trees a simple task. This machine is built like a tank, and pretty well go through anything. The one thing that may improve its performance are wider tires. June 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall pretty good We used it for about a month and the deck lever started sticking. It was sticking to the point where the deck could not be lifted up. It eventually fixed itself, but it being brand new and for what it cost there should not be any problems with it.I do like the design of the compact zero turn and it is great to use on large back yards that are fenced but it does get stuck a lot with not having the wider tires. So it 's a little bit of a catch 22. Overall, we are pretty satisfied with the unit. June 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by compact pro-34 Just right for my 1/2 acre lot!The cut is as good as my Gravely 21" self-propelled.Thanks for a great product June 5, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Really a good cut. I have had this mower for 1 year. It mows beautifully. The only issue I have is that it has a solenoid clicking before it finally starts. It has done this since I got it. I hear there is a fix for this but it is hard to get this to my dealer. Is there a part that I can put on to fix? Other than this little nagging issue I love the speed and cut of this mower. Also very comfortable to drive. I would definetely recommend. June 5, 2013

Why Zero-turn?

You can cut your mowing time in half using a zero turn mower instead of a traditional riding lawn tractor. Here are some of the time-saving features of zero turn technology:

Maneuver Around Obstacles

The maneuverability of zero turn mowers allows you to easily mow around trees, flower beds and other obstacles in your yard more easily than with a steering wheel vehicle such as a riding lawn tractor.

Drive at a Faster Speed

Zero turn mowers are designed to cut grass nearly twice as fast as traditional lawn tractors so your straight line mowing speed is improved. A typical lawn tractor cuts at a speed of 3-4 mph while a typical zero turn mower cuts at a speed of 5-8 mph.

Mow in a Single Pass

When you get to the end of your yard and have to turn around and come back, you literally can spin 180 degrees and come straight back without having to back up and cut the strips of grass you would miss when making the turn with a lawn tractor.

Eliminate Follow-Up Trimming

With an unobstructed view of the cutting deck, zero turn mowers make it easy to cut very close to your trim edges – you can nearly eliminate the need to trim hard-to-reach areas with a push mower or a string trimmer after you've finished mowing.

Without a steering wheel, a zero turn machine may look intimidating to drive but most people become comfortable with the way it handles after just a few times mowing their lawn.

Steering a zero turn mower is easy. In fact, it is not that different from steering a shopping cart.

  • How to make left turn with Zero Turn
  • How to make right turn with Zero Turn

  • Forward: Push the handles forward.
  • Reverse: Pull the handles back.
  • Right Turn: Push the left handle forward.
  • Left Turn: Push the right handle forward.
  • Stop: Bring the handles back to neutral.

The key to driving in a straight line is to assure that the same amount of pressure is applied to each lever.
