Gravely® Announces Upgrades to ZT Line of Mowers

Brillion, Wis. – Gravely® announces upgrades to the ZT line of zero-turn mowers, including an improved height-of-cut selector, deck washout port and sliding seat-adjustment. Gravely’s ZT mowers are available in a 34-, 42- and 50-inch deck sizes and are ideal for residential properties.

The ZT upgrades provide more efficient and productive performance, while enhancing usability and operator comfort. The new ZT height-of-cut selector lever makes adjustments simple and quick. Cutting height is adjusted by pressing on the foot lever and moving the new shifter-style selector to the desired height-of-cut. Now, changing the cutting height can be done more quickly and accurately.

A washout port was also added to the ZT line. The nozzle comes with a simple quick-connect coupling for a standard garden hose, allowing operators to conveniently clean out the deck after each use to maintain optimum cutting performance. It is standard for the ZT42 and ZT50, and a kit is available for the ZT34.

Another upgrade includes the five-position sliding seat with a two-inch range of motion. The seat lever is easy to reach and requires little effort by the operator, and the seat can be adjusted to achieve optimal comfort while mowing. The sliding seat is standard on the ZT42 and ZT50.

The enhanced bagging system for the ZT42increases air flow and fills bags evenly to make bagging more efficient. An extended discharge opening increases air flow into the bagger tube. In testing, the new system showed a 35.7 percent increase in volumetric airflow for an additional 215 cubic-feet-per-minute with the modified bagger. The bagger boot attaches to the deck without the use of tools, and it’s easy to install and remove the bag frame.

Standard ZT features include:

  • 4-point deck lift system provides unmatched deck stability
  • 12-guage stamped XLerator™ deck on the ZT42 and ZT50 models designed for maximum air flow
  • High back seat on the ZT42 and 50 for comfort
  • Large axle cover to protect against low tree branches
  • Engine hood designed to reduce noise
  • Maintenance-free front caster fork bushings
  • Fully adjustable control arms to accommodate any size operator and flip open for easier entrance or exit

All three ZT mowers are covered by a three-year limited consumer warranty. For more information visit
