Gravely Corporate Headquarters Hosts Marty Grunder Ace Summit

For three days in early November, Gravely welcomed a group of landscape contractors participating in Marty Grunder's Ace Summit to the Ariens Company corporate headquarters in Brillion, Wis.

Landscapers from across the country came together to exchange best practices, network and learn about what Gravely has to offer commercial cutters. Day one of the summit was kicked off with a workshop led by Marty Grunder, where attendees exchanged ideas and practices that help them succeed as both landscapers and business owners.

After that, they headed over to Gravely's corporate headquarters building, where they listened to sessions on social selling, led by Gravely Regional Manager JW Washington, and hiring and retention, led by Ariens Company Director of Human Resources Amy Krahenbuhl.

Day one ended with a stadium tour and private reception at Lambeau Field, where attendees got to spend an intimate dinner with Ariens Company Chariman/CEO Dan Ariens.

"Marty is a leading influencer in the landscape contracting industry," said Washington. "He's both an owner of a landscape contracting company and the establisher of these peer groups, which he assembles with like-minded landscape contracting companies across the United States. He's also an avid fan of our products, and we love that we have a great relationship with him, which affords us opportunities like being able to host this summit for his clients. "

Day two of the summit was focused on Gravely and how the company's products could provide solutions for commercial landscape contracting companies of all sizes. The Gravely product management team kicked off the morning with an overview of Gravely's new products, which were launched at GIE + Expo in Louisville, K.y., only a few weeks prior to the event.  After a quick Q-and-A session, attendees boarded a bus and headed out to Triple J Wings & Clay for product walk-arounds and product demonstration time.

"This event is great for us as a manufacturer for a variety of reasons," said Washington. "We're able to hear feedback directly from the people who use our commercial products – they openly share the things they like, the things they don't like, and their wish list of items that we can look into adding to our equipment down the line. We're then able to apply that feedback through product management, engineering and development to make sure that we're producing the best product possible."

The event was a huge success, and plans are already being drawn for next year. Interested in attending? Stay updated with Marty's exclusive events for landscape contractors by visiting growgroupinc.com and following him on Facebook and Twitter.
