Gravely Attends 2017 GIE + Expo Show

Last week, representatives from Gravely attended the 2017 GIE + Expo show in Louisville, KY, showcasing the latest innovation in outdoor power equipment.

Visitors to the booth had the opportunity to test drive the newest equipment in both the commercial and residential markets, and to speak with Gravely experts about the newest lineup additions. The Gravely booth saw a record number of dealers and landscapers stop by over the show’s three days.

As a bonus for taking a Gravely for a test ride, visitors were able to enter their name into a drawing for a Gravely Pro-Turn 260. This year’s winner was Danny LaChance, owner of Pro Cut Lawn & Landscaping in Sabattus, Maine.

During the dealer-preview day on Wednesday, dealers who visited the Gravely booth had the chance to win one of three iPads.

On Thursday, the Equipment Dealers Association stopped by to award Gravely with a Gold-Level award for excellence in dealer-manufacturer relations. Ariens Company Chairman & CEO Dan Ariens, along with Ariens Company Power Equipment President Larry Weyers, accepted the award.

New this year, Landscaping Industry Consultant Marty Grunder conducted educational sessions in Gravely’s indoor booth.  Marty is an acclaimed public speaker and author of the book, The Nine Simple Steps to Entrepreneurial Success.  He is an Ohio Certified Nursery Technician Master Certification.  Marty's consultancy, Marty Grunder! Inc. is the go to source for countless landscaping companies across North America, helping their clients grow and prosper.

On the product side, this year Gravely partnered with Yamaha to launch the new Yamaha EFI engines for the landscaping industry. The new Yamaha V-Twin EFI and Carbureted engines are available on both the Gravely Pro-Turn 200 and Pro-Turn 400 platforms. These units were on display in the Gravely booth and drew a lot of interest from visitors.

Gravely also unveiled its new Pro-Walk commercial walk-behind mowers for landscape contractors. The machine has redesigned controls, making it easier to use and lowering the learning curve for new operators.

In addition, Gravely sponsored a Power Session at Landscapes titled, Sell Something!  Nothing Happens Until Someone Sells Something. For more information about NALP and the Landscapes Conference, visit
