The month of April is designated as National Lawn Care Month and Gravely, in partnership with the National Association of Landscape Professionals (formerly PLANET) want to heighten public awareness regarding the many environmental and health benefits of natural grass.
According to a recent study conducted by the National Association of Landscape Professionals, 81 percent of Americans believe that the upkeep and overall look of their lawn is important to them. The survey also discovered that while nearly 74 percent of those people reported feeling confident about knowing how to care for their lawn, several in that same group answered basic lawn care questions incorrectly. Check out what they found:
"Although 74 percent of Americans who have a lawn/landscape say they know how to care for their lawn each season and 68 percent of Americans report feeling confident in their lawn care knowledge," the survey states. "Data from the survey tells a different story. According to the findings, many Americans actually lack basic lawn care knowledge. When quizzed:
"Even more telling, nearly seven in 10 of Americans who have a lawn/landscape (69 percent) admit their lawn could use improvement, despite their reported knowledge and confidence."
Gravely is a proud member of the National Association of Landscape Professionals and has been for many years.
