About Us

Our business was founded in 1945 by Robert "Bob" Urich under the name "Bob's Weld Shop". Bob started out in a shed beside his family home, sharpening mower blades for friends and the community. His business quickly grew, opening the shop where it stands now across the street from his family home. Over the years, he participated in the York State Fair and even hosted his own Summer Sales on site. His family was very much involved in the business, including 4 of his sons who worked as mechanics. One of his sons, Bobby, currently works here today as Head Mechanic. Bob sadly passed away in 2008, leaving an incredible legacy behind him. Fast forward to today, current owner Ed Crone has owned the business for 12+ years under the name of "Bob's Outdoor & Power Equipment".
