Never buy this small of a rider

I've owned a landscaping/lawn care business for 15 years. Mowing both commercial and high end residential properties. I bought this mower for my father. The hydraulic pumps are making a horrible clanking sound and sound like it will blow. The dealer said it was ok. I'm going to take it to another dealer this week. He has had it for a few years and it always took a lot to start too. The traction is horrible on flat ground. Even with little air in the drive tires. Cut does ok.

A mower to build your bussiness around

34 inch deck is the perfect size for city cutting and there's just no other zero turn that comes close maybe the Wright stander but for some reason they went from 32 inch deck to 36 skiped 34 witch helps if you have a few customers that are a little big for a compact and it's nice to set whenever you can in this business !!!

Can't say enough good things about the Compact Pro

I wish I would have purchased a Gravely commercial grade machine from day one. I would have saved a lot of time and aggravation from fighting with a machine not up to the task. The Gravely Compact Pro has enabled my business to grow from a part time operation doing roughly 25 small to medium sized yards per week to full time mowing anywhere from 60 to 70 yards and empty lots of any size every week nearly year round. Stepping up from a homeowner grade Husqvarna zero turn to the Gravely commercial machine has been a night and day difference. No more bogging down in the thick grass or breaking belts and plastic pulleys every couple of weeks. The Gravely zips through even the thickest St. Augustine grass and leaves yards looking like a golf course fairway. The 34 inch deck fits through nearly every gate and my 21 inch machine barely leaves the trailer any more. The time I save not having to push mow back yards and not having to worry about bogging down in the thick stuff has allowed me to accomplish more in less time and in this business time definitely equals money. I am overwhelmingly pleased with my Gravely and have already started making plans to purchase another Gravely mower in the very near future.

"Gravely You Have Some Tweaking To Do"

I love gravely, I have my own landscaping company and I have to say that they just dropped the ball on this one in the sense that it just can't hold its self on hills. you also have to be extremely careful when operating because it rips up the turf very easily. Another con is the grass catcher on this unit, it has to be the biggest piece of junk ever! It is so heavy and undersized and it showers you in dirt and grass to the point where visibility becomes impossible. I can't believe Gravely would design a bagger like that, disgusted! On the other side it is a really nice well built, quality machine thats made to last. lastly on my list is the amount of grass that gets caked under the deck of this thing is outrageous. Other than that the machine saves me so much time in the yards with smaller gates, so much better than push mowing.

best mower I have ever used

I have a landscaping business in the deep south. we use our compact pro to haul materials around on job sites and we cut 50 yards per week just about year round and these are very thick st aug grasses and it just plows right through and leaves them looking like a mower I have ever used.
