This is my second Gravely. My first was a Pro Master 50. It had over 3300 hours on it. The gage broke at 3300, and still mowing good. I purchased the 160 Z with a 60 deck and had lights installed and I chose to have the mulch kit put on. The cut is absolutly perfect, the only scalping I see is from me turning to fast and hard. You need to take the time to set up the mower for your comfort, like the seat, the steering control bars. once you do just sit back and enjoy the ride. It was a real pleasure to mow my 2 acres with it, and I mean WAS! My wife wanted to help one day, she liked it so much, now she does all the mowing and works on her tan, and I only get to do the edgeing and weed trimming. After 1 year of use, I have no complaints at all with my purchase of the 160Z. The only thing Gravely needs to offer as an option is Air Conditioning, I live in South central Florida.

I have a Gravely 160 ProTurn commercial grade I purchased on July 22, 2010 from Horizon Outdoor, St. Joseph, MO. I mow 5 acres with it and it has proven very reliable. The only fault I find with it is the seat suspension does not seem to give a very good ride no matter where it is adjusted to. (I weigh 250 lbs). I feel this mower would be better if it had some sort of suspension on the mower itself. With my bad back and this bone jarring ride I would think you could come up with a better system than just an adjustable seat. Also it has a terrible habit of scalping on uneven areas no matter where the deck height is set. This mower would be better if it had a pivoting front axel instead of hard mounted front wheels.

I have used Poulan Pro P46ZX Briggs V-Twin Pro 22 HP Cutting Deck Zero Turn Radius Riding Mower, 46-Inch. Poulan Pro P46ZX was equipped with the fuel tank with the capacity up to 3.5 gallons. So, if you have a large lawn, this model of the zero turns riding lawn mower may be the best choice for you.

When the roll bar is folded back, the angle of the bar catches low hanging branches on small trees of which I have many. My wife loves to mow but is a disaster around the trees. I wish there was a accessory to make a smooth connection to prevent the current hook that is ruining our trees. I know this is an operator problem but the design needs to be fixed.

My only problem so far is when I changed my oil, There is very little space to remove the filter and insert the new one. I had to squeeze the filter between the guard and engine to get it out and same process to install the new one.
It rides a lot better and is more stable on slopes than my other JD zero turn.
So far very satisfied with the Pro Turn 152

Have enjoyed the mower but when a problem occurred i was unable to locate information. The mower stopped like it was out of gas. Did my best to troubleshoot. Could not locate any troubleshooting information in manuals i received. Could not load into trailer because of hydraulics. Went to the dealer to seek manuals but there are none for the consumers. Asked about disabling the hydraulics to load into trailer and after 1/2 hour was shown how. Could not locate bypass levers with owners manual. Finally found through trial and error and searching that a fuse was blown. Owner manual has no location of fuses. If i would have known this information when i made the decision to purchase it, I would have probably passed on the unit.

I got the gravely at a recommendation of my future father in law and it is well designed with great durability. One of the nicest features is the fuel injection. I will hopefully never have to deal with fuel issues like the carburetor engines. This thing cranks quickly every time and the engine is plenty powerful. The deck has a lifetime warranty and is built like a tank. I never have to worry about going out and having issue with it. I just mow and go on about my day.

Twice required service to replace deck bearings covered under warranty. Described as "maintenance free" type bearings that have no grease zert. I would rather have a better quality bearing that requires a shot of grease a couple times per year. My 22 year-old John Deere has that and still has the same bearings working perfectly. More than likely a production cost saving measure as opposed to the reality of it not being maintenance free. Other than that, the machine has been very good. we keep it well maintained and I expect many years from it - if we can keep the bearings in the deck from shelling out every few months!

Purchased 2 units for landscape company
4 years 0 interest = 2 years in, maintenance regularly, both units constantly in the shop.
=I see it highly unlikely units to make a 4 year period. (Disappointing)
Used for clean manicured residential lawns- (NOT rough commercial properties)
*In all honesty, I've had a Tractor Supply Cub Cadet last 15 years, and not see one day in the shop.

Comments about Gravely Pro-Turn 100 Zero Turn Mower (Model 148):

I use the Pro-Turn 148 to mow 12 acres of lawn grass. This is my second Gravely mower, my other Gravely is the ZT HD 60 and was the best mower I've used, until I purchased the Pro Turn 148. We currently run both mowers and have reduced our mowing time down to just a few hours. This mower is faster than the ZT HD and the ride with the commercial seat is outstanding. I purchased this unit with the 48" deck and the vacuum system. The vacuum system works great and does not get clogged like standard lawn tractor vacuum systems. I purchased this unit, as my other unit, from Hope Mills Saw and Mowers in Hope Mills, NC from a great group that knows their equipment inside and out and they have an outstanding service staff that gets you back out cutting grass fast.

                        Service and delivery comments:

The sales staff and service staff reviewed all operating features and all service items before letting me leave with the unit. I picked my unit up two days after purchasing it with the bagger system installed and ready to go to work.

I have approximately 10 acres that I mow each week. For several years I mowed with a finish mower attached to my tractor. Since purchasing my Gravely zero turn mower, I turned my mowing time from 6 hours each week to just under 3. My Gravely mower also has a floating seat that makes for a smooth ride, also eliminating some of the back issues I once had as a result of the hours spent on the tractor seat.

I always wanted the zero turn mower and was in Wynn's looking around. They had a great sale going on and I test drove several different models/makers. The Gravely was the best of the lot and I took it home that day. Since that time I have used on a weekly basis and the performance is high rated, time efficient and smooth cut every time. I am glad I invested in Gravely and now I wonder why I waited so long.
